The Strand Theatre proudly enters its 30th Anniversary season of performances as Galveston Island's Premiere Community Theatre. Housed in the 1871 Opperman Building, located directly across from the beautiful Tremont House Hotel in the heart of the historic Strand District, The Strand Theatre is dedicated to providing quality, theatrical entertainment to the Galveston community and frequent island visitors. Main Street Theater will open its 33rd season on August 30, 2007, with a production of Gore Vidal’s satire of presidential politics, THE BEST MAN.
